The Garage is almost done!

The garage is almost done.  We are down the the last little bits of it.  All that is needed now is the stone work to be finished and the exterior lights installed and that project can be checked off the list! With that being almost done some of the crew has been moved to other projects.  Our painter is starting to finish up the front porch and then he will start painting inside! Yay!  I am so excited to see some color going up but also a little crazy with having to pick so many colors!  And then the master bath is also next on the list.  The shower has been prepped for tile and the rest of the bathroom will be getting tile soon.  We are actually to the point where we can order our tub, sinks, etc, and get the lights we picked out a while a back ordered.  

 The garage interior has been finished with drywall and has been painted.  Also all of the interior lights have been installed.

We are very happy at how the garage doors turned out!

 The ceiling of the front porch is covered in metal tin sheets that are pretty neat and we are going to clean them up and repaint them.  Right now they are getting a good power washing!

 Here is the granite for our master bathroom.  I just LOVE it!  The tile piece is the marble tile we chose for the floor and shower surround and we are going to paint the walls the middle paint color on the sample sheet.

These are our choices in finishes for the basement bathroom. The larger tile is our flooring, which will cover half of the basement including the bathroom.  The next tile in the stack is our shower surround tile.  And then then little piece is the sample of the counter we will be using.  It's a solid surface rather than a granite because we wanted to save a few dollars and I think it will still look nice.  I'm pretty sure we are going to go with the middle color on the paint sample for the walls. 

Garage Progress

Every time I sit down to update the blog something new has gone up on the garage and I decide to wait until I get pictures of it before I post.  Well, I can't wait anymore!  It's just moving so quickly and I figure if I keep waiting it will all be done before I post again!  

Spencer Roth and his crew have been working around the clock in this heat to get the roof on and then the guys from Tedder's Roofing in Porter, Ok. came in one morning and got the shingles on.  We picked up some lights from the lighting store to get those put on the front and sides of the garage and also picked out our doors.  A few more weeks and it should be completely done!

 

 

 

 Looks great next to the house!!  We chose to make the pitch of the roof on the garage the same as on the house to help it blend in a little more.  It's a HUGE garage but still looks so small next to the house.  We are very happy with how it has turned out and can't wait to see it completely finished!

These are the lights we chose for the outside of the garage.  The ones that will go across the front(one between each bay for a total of 4) are larger than the 2 that will go on the side of the garage between the house.  They will light up the walkway from the front to the back of the yard.

 Here are our windows out the back and the view is beautiful.  It really looks nice from the back of the garage as well.

 I thought I would share a few pictures from the inside work that is still going on.  It's coming together slowly but looking good!  And our tile is in!  After the garage work is done the guys will head back inside and will start to prep the master bathroom for tiling!
