The house is almost done! It's so exciting! And a little stressful! We are trying to be in before Christmas and it looks like it will happen! Paint is still going on, the floors upstairs have been put down, the basement is almost done with the last minute drywall, and cabinets are getting made!
Starting upstairs, the biggest change has been the flooring. It's not done yet but will be by next week. If you remember the flooring upstairs was a wood floor that was painted black. The paint was lead paint and therefore was not something we wanted to mess with, cost wise or safety wise. We have tried very hard to keep as much of the original parts of the house as we can but the floor just couldn't be saved. So we sealed it, and then the new floors went down. It was very quick! We plan on staining the floor a dark black stain to keep with the feel of the house as it was.
A happy sight to see!

Around the railing for the stairs there is a stained piece of flooring that matches the railing and stairs. So to keep that transition this was the only way to make it work. I think it turned out great. It's barely a difference in the floor height and that way we can keep the beautiful stained wood on the stairs and railing, which will also be restored.
The upstairs hall bath! Bright right! haha It looks really good with the white and black in there and I can't wait to see the sink installed!
Our "Billiard Room" as my husband calls it! Our pool table felt is the same color as the wall and the wood is the same color stain as the trim so it will fit in perfectly!
The Dining room and kitchen are painted and getting ready for cabinets and appliances!
Gutters! Exciting right?! haha
And a last little sneak peek...our tub is in! Well, in as has arrived. Not installed yet. But soon!!
