The tile work has begun on the top floor and it's looking great! The drywall s.t.i.l.l continues in the house but it's starting to look more finished than not. The garage is also (today) getting the stone exterior finished and then that can be checked off the to-do list! The crew has decided to complete the top floor before moving to the main level, and then to the basement. So as of now the bathrooms are getting the most attention with the tile work going in on the floors, showers, walls, etc. The laundry room(which is on the upper level as well) has been tiled. Nothing has been grouted yet, though. The sink for the upstairs hall bath has come in and I LOVE it! It will look great in there and I can't wait to see it installed!
Master Bath Tile Work
This is the toilet room. Because of the craziness of the floor we had to go with the smaller tiles to accommodate the "character" of the floor. The larger tiles wouldn't sit properly. This is also the same tile we used on the bottom of the shower.
The beginning of the floor tile work.
To the right where that pipe is coming out of the floor is where the tub will be located.
Off to the left is the shower and the toilet room.
View into the toilet room and the shower wall on the left.
Our beautiful shower!! There will be a glass wall and door to close it up. That will help make the bathroom feel spacious. Even though it is a large space, it is laid out a little differently but is really functional.
A view of the master bedroom door and the closet door off to the right and then the shower on the right as well.
Upstairs Hall Bath Tile
Of course we are using Dal-Tile products!!
(That is where my husband works for all you out of town-ers!)
This was the original height of the wall tile but then I decided I wanted it a little higher so we went up about 3 more rows of tile and then they put on the chair rail tile.
I'm really happy with how it is turning out!
The shower enclosure will have the subway tile all the way up to the ceiling.
The sink! It's HUGE but I'm so excited about it!
This is the faucet for it. I wasn't too pumped about it at first but it's growing on me! Kohler was smart(but very annoying) and made this specialty sink and then made only ONE option for faucets to fit it. So they got all of our money on this one! The sink and 2 faucets! Well played Kohler. Anyway, it looks really good with the sink so I think it will work!
The laundry room tile might be my favorite! This tile is also going to be used in the basement. It is so pretty when it's all cleaned up!
Garage Stone Work
Now that we are nearing the end I've started picking out more colorful stuff and having a lot of fun with it - although picking out paint colors for 6200 sq. feet can be a little overwhelming! Anyway, I will end my post with a little color! This is the fabric for the playroom curtains. The title for the fabric has the name "Circus" in it so I think it will be totally fitting for a playroom!
Beautiful! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
